Ravi Kaklasaria

Ravi is a Java/J2EE design and development veteran and around 10 years of experience developing and architecting solutions for various domains including Investment Banking, Web 2.0 and Mobile Applications. Ravi is a Technical Consultant at SpringPeople Technologies and primarily responsible for training classes being run in India.

Ravi completed his B.Tech from Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University (selected through prestigious IIT-JEE) and M.S. from West Virginia University, USA and Sheffield University, UK. He started his career as a Sun Certified Java Programmer and has worked in companies like Goldman Sachs, GE (Global Research Centre), Aztech Software & Technologies and ITC Infotech, USA – to name a few – in various development/architect and consulting roles.

Ravi worked as Lead Developer at Goldman Sachs, where he was involved in designing and developing a Fees Accrual & Reconciliation system, using Spring Framework and related technologies. This system was used to calculate accruals, execution and clearing fees, and commissions for house and client trades and to reconcile the invoices received from clearing houses.

At ITC Infotech, USA, Ravi worked as Technical Consultant, primarily working on a Java/J2EE application used by manufacturing industry to automate various phases as a product moves from the concept stage to the obsolete stage.

Ravi was Senior Software Development Engineer with GE (Global Research Centre) where he worked on a Java/J2EE based framework that provides Enterprise Application Integration solution for messaging, translation, collaboration and exchange of commercial data between disparate applications using a central node to facilitate seamless rule-based routing.

Most recently, Ravi worked as Director, Technology for Sharda Group of Institutes (SGI), which has 12,000+ students. Ravi was responsible for creating the technology vision and road map for SGI, designing an enterprise wide solution, and planning the integration of various components and third party applications.
