Registration Now Open for SpringOne Europe 2009
SAN MATEO, Calif.—January 22, 2009—SpringSource, the company behind Spring, the de facto standard in enterprise Java, and a leading provider of infrastructure software, today announced that registration is open for SpringOne Europe 2009, its fourth annual technology conference, being held at the NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky in Amsterdam, Netherlands on April 27-29, 2009.
SpringOne Europe is a one-of-a-kind event for application developers, solution architects and project managers who develop business applications with Spring and the technologies that integrate with Spring. SpringOne Europe is being co-produced by SpringSource and Trifork A/S to create Europe's premier Spring conference and provide the latest Spring developments and case studies. The three day conference is an opportunity for core Spring committers and customers to share insights on current development challenges and showcase the latest advances in Spring technologies.
Keynote sessions by Rod Johnson, the ‘creator and father of Spring,’ and Adrian Colyer, the chief technology officer for SpringSource, will headline the conference. Break-out tracks include:
- Essential Spring – Covers the new Spring 3.0 release including sessions about designing RESTful systems and Java EE 6 integration, as well as presentations about popular Spring projects like Spring Integration, Spring Security and Spring Batch.
- Rich Web Application Development – Provides details for building and running rich web applications that use Spring MVC, Spring Web Flow, Spring JavaScript, the new Spring BlazeDS Integration and the dynamic language web application framework, Grails. Developers will also learn how to design modular, REST-based web applications architectures with Spring.
- Enterprise Production Systems – Explores best practices and tips for optimizing production systems including: SpringSource dm Server, Apache Tomcat, SpringSource tc Server, and monitoring and management of production Spring applications.
Additional sessions will be led by many of the core developers of the Spring Framework including, Juergen Hoeller, Keith Donald, Rob Harrop, Arjen Poutsma, Christian Dupuis and Jeremy Grelle, among others.

In addition to SpringOne Europe, SpringSource is currently spearheading a Tomcat Expert Seminar Series in Europe and the U.S. The seminar series is designed to teach operations staff, developers and engineers how to optimize and manage Apache Tomcat in production. Each seminar will be taught by Filip Hanik, a leading committer of the Apache Tomcat project and a member of the Apache Software Foundation. The seminars, which were announced in December 2008, have sold out in Europe and are quickly reaching capacity in the U.S. locations.
