Andy Clement

Andy Clement is a senior software engineer at SpringSource, based in the Vancouver office. Andy has more than ten years experience in Java and Enterprise Application Development, working on the IBM CICS transaction servers and IBMs Java Virtual Machine. Most recently he has become a recognized expert on Aspect Oriented Programming, and in particular the usage of aspects in middleware components. He now leads the Eclipse AspectJ project and is a co-founder of the Eclipse AspectJ Development Tools project.

Andy has authored numerous papers on the use of aspects and co-authored the book "Eclipse AspectJ" in the Addison Wesley Eclipse series.

He has presented on and taught tutorials about Aspect Oriented programming all over the world, at conferences such as EclipseCon, AOSD and SpringOne.
