Thomas Risberg

Thomas Risberg is a senior consultant with SpringSource, the company behind the Spring Framework.  He has over two decades of experience as a developer, architect and database administrator.  As a consultant, Thomas has participated in numerous enterprise application projects for large financial institutions as well as insurance and marketing companies.

Thomas has been involved with Oracle database development and administration since Oracle version 7.2.  Much of the experience gained from this involvement has been used in developing Spring support for advanced Oracle database features.  Thomas is the lead of the SpringSource Advanced Pack for Oracle Database project.

Thomas has been part of the development team for the Spring Framework project since 2003 and is co-author of "Professional Java Development with the Spring Framework" together with Rod Johnson, Juergen Hoeller, Alef Arendsen, and Colin Sampaleanu, published by Wrox in 2005.

Thomas has presented talks on Spring and JDBC at OSCON, The Spring Experience, SpringOne and at local user group events. Thomas holds certifications from Oracle, BEA and Sun.
