Spring Security
Formerly known as the Acegi Security System for Spring, Spring Security is a powerful, flexible security solution for enterprise software, with a particular emphasis on applications that use Spring. Using Spring Security provides your applications with comprehensive authentication, authorization, instance-based access control, channel security and human user detection capabilities.
In addition to having a comprehensive list of security functionality, Spring Security is very configurable and leverages the Spring Framework for configuration. Spring Security also allows for reuse and portability of security components. Spring Security can also be used with non-Spring applications.
