tc Server 6.0 Supported Configurations

Every SpringSource tc Server release is supported on a variety of Operating System, Chip Architecture and JVM combinations. This page provides general supported configuration information along with pointers to supported configuration details within the online product documentation for each release. Note that supported configurations for a particular release are dynamic, i.e., supported configurations will be added over time.

SUPPORTED CONFIGURATIONS

Supported configurations are fully supported for production use. Supported configurations for SpringSource tc Server specify support for the specific combinations of the following infrastructure components:

  • Operating System – Vendor and major version.
  • Java Version – JVM Vendor, vendor major version and Java major version (if different from JVM major version).
  • Browser – Vendor and major version.
  • Chip Architecture – Vendor and number of bits.

Note that for all software infrastructure components, unless otherwise noted, all patch update levels available from the specified version for the indicated major version are supported. Each specific release contains a product documentation page covering all supported configurations information; these pages are linked to above.

TESTED CONFIGURATIONS

SpringSource tests on specific patch update levels. The product documentation supported configuration pages linked to above specify the tested configuration details for each supported release.

COMPATIBLE CONFIGURATIONS

SpringSource supports as compatible additional configurations based on our explicit testing and vendor compatibility support. The general approach to compatibility is as follows:

  • Operating System – Generally all patch update levels on the major version tested are supported.
  • Java Version –Generally all patch update levels on the major version tested are supported.
  • Browser – As detailed on a per release basis.
  • Chip Architecture – Generally only specifically tested chip architectures are supported.
