SpringSource Announces Alliance With Capgemini
Leading Provider of Spring Enterprise Java Application Portfolio Collaborates with Global IT Services and Business Consultancy to Deliver Best-of-Breed Solutions for Joint Customers in the Netherlands
San Mateo, Calif.,—January 23, 2008—SpringSource, formerly known as Interface21, a leading provider of trusted open source software for building and deploying mission-critical enterprise applications, today announced they have signed an alliance with Capgemini, one of the world's foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services. Under the terms of the agreement, SpringSource will partner with Capgemini’s Netherlands division to deliver joint, fully-supported open source solutions based on the Spring Portfolio.
The SpringSource Portfolio is a comprehensive open source application framework designed on long-standing themes of simplicity and power. With over four million downloads to date, SpringSource has become an integral part of the enterprise applications infrastructure at organizations worldwide. The SpringSource partner program provides additional opportunities to increase revenues and drive differentiation for partners who support SpringSource deployments.
Capgemini has steadily been strengthening its open source capabilities over the last few years and has seen an increased customer demand for open source solutions. Currently, Capgemini deploys over 150 consultants in The Netherlands on open source related projects every month. In the last year alone, the company has trained dozens of their consultants on the SpringSource portfolio in collaboration with the expert trainers from SpringSource.
Under the terms of the cooperation agreement, SpringSource and Capgemini’s Netherlands division, will work collaboratively with customers deploying mission-critical enterprise applications to ensure successful development, integration and run-time production performance.
